Statement on International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace
WJM emphasized that sustainable peace in Afghanistan requires the meaningful and equal participation of women. The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to adopt a human-rights-based approach, avoid normalizing systems that violate women’s rights, and ensure Afghan women have a meaningful role in decision-making.
WJM maintains that genuine peace requires justice, equality and human dignity for all.
