Publicly described work includes literacy, English and computer classes; human rights, health, leadership and digital-security education; support for young female educators; and referral systems for students and teachers at risk.
Women’s Rights Advocacy
Documentation and advocacy around women’s rights, public campaigns, engagement with international human rights mechanisms and efforts to keep accountability for violations on the international agenda.
Humanitarian & Psychosocial Support
Emergency assistance, support for women affected by displacement and crisis, and culturally sensitive psychosocial support are described as part of WJM’s public work.
Sports & Physical and Mental Health
WJM describes safe sports spaces, sports-therapy activities, health education and support for threatened female athletes as ways of reclaiming bodily rights and wellbeing.
Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Livelihood
Publicly described initiatives include support for women’s businesses, professional training, resilient gardening, product networks and livelihood opportunities that strengthen economic independence.
Art as a Tool of Resistance

WJM produces independent content, multilingual communications, interviews, public statements and media engagement to ensure Afghan women can narrate their own experiences.
