Between Suppression and Exile: The Fate of Afghan Women Protesters
This investigative report was prepared through a collaboration between Femena and the Afghan Women’s Justice Movement. It draws on interviews with 12 sources and examines the collapse of legal and protective frameworks after 15 August 2021, the restrictions imposed on women and girls, and the risks faced by women who participated in civil resistance.
The report contributes to documentation and international advocacy concerning protection, accountability and the rights of Afghan women protesters.
