The History of the Women’s Justice Movement

WJM emerged from Afghan women’s resistance following the Taliban’s return to power on 15 August 2021. Its public history records protests, education initiatives, awareness campaigns, humanitarian support, documentation and international advocacy from 2021 onward.

The movement later expanded its international engagement and registered in Norway while continuing to work with women and partners inside Afghanistan and in exile.
